KOTR Snow Bank Rink Update

Dear Residents of Keswick on the River,

Thank you to everyone who took the time to write and share your constructive thoughts regarding the skating rink for this season. Your engagement and willingness to voice your opinions are truly appreciated.

Before the recent influx of emails and attention the rink has received, the Board had already made arrangements for its construction and maintenance. After careful consideration and a review of the upcoming weather conditions, we determined that the most cost‑effective approach is to proceed with building only the structure of the rink at this time.

To be very clear: the structure will be built, but the rink will not be completed or iced until we know the weather will cooperate. If temperatures allow, we will move forward with creating and maintaining the ice so the community can enjoy a functional rink this year.

Looking ahead, we will hold a new vote in February 2027, prior to the AGM, to allow the community to re‑evaluate the future of the rink for the future seasons.

This year, we also have a secure and reliable method of communication for all residents. Each household will receive a one‑time, unique voting link generated by the system, ensuring that every household can participate.
