All Green has been in our community for the past few weeks working on fall maintenance. They have started to aerate the turf in the community followed by overseed mid-late October. It is our aim to ensure turf grows stronger and greener for next spring. They will continue to address weeds in highly visible areas and remainder of fall maintenance work required. The board has been very pleased with All Green thus far and will continue to evaluate their performance.

October 15th is the tentative date for the fountain to be turned off to start the winterization process. We will continue to monitor the weather.

Mulch top up in outstanding areas including walking paths is continuing to progress. We ask the community to be patient as we continue to work with MLC and their contractor, Classic, to finalize the handover of areas to the HOA. The HOA will be maintaining the shrubs within various community shrub beds with our contractor, Cutting Edge. Community lawn services are being handled by the City of Edmonton, with supplemental maintenance being performed by the HOA through Cutting Edge.

Mulch top-up in the community is in-progress and will require some time to complete the entire community.

Weeding control - The board observed weeds growing through topped up mulch in certain areas of the community and will discuss with our landscaping contractors. A reminder that if you are a corner lot on Keswick Boulevard, you are additionally responsible for the flankage boulevard along the side of your property to the curb. Maintenance includes mowing, watering, fertilizing, weed control and replacement, should the grass die.  City has stated that there will be less weed control in natural areas, naturalized areas, and on all grassy areas. The city contractors have been in the community late last week mowing the turf in certain areas.

Dandelions are a part of Edmonton's natural landscape and their presence peaks through May and June. Residents will notice dandelions on City roadways, parks and boulevards. The City works to prevent the spread of dandelions by mowing and trimming turf, however, there will be noticeable reductions in some services the City provides this season, including dandelion control in parks, sports fields, roads, trails and sidewalks.

The Board is in discussion with our landscaping contractor to determine possible solution to tackle these re-occurring issue to ensure we maintain the natural beauty of our community.

Fountain startup delay - MLC informed the board that Epcor must install a seasonal water meter before startup. MLC Group is waiting for Epcor to complete the install before providing operational instructions. The board continues to follow up on this matter on a weekly basis.

Please contact the City of Edmonton (311) to report dead tree for removal. The city has one crew assigned to South Edmonton so please be patient.

Please continue to visit the website for more updates.
